Story
Please support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
Of the 1.1 Billion people across the globe without toilets, almost half are in India. This impacts every aspect of their life and severely impacts on their health.
A number of colleagues at Sydney Water and I have formed Team Praan to raise funds to help resolve this issue as well as look for better ways to engage with the communities impacted and collaborate on innovative solution the issues and perceptions in India that prevent the more widespread use of twin pit latrine toilets. Praan is a Hindi word meaning vitality.
We are doing this as part of the Water Aid Winnovators Challenge to tackle global issues of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 6).
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to Water Aid India for the implementation of this project.
